Georgia Governor Zell Miller delivered the keynote address
at the ceremony honoring this year's recipients of the Emory Medal. During
his remarks, Miller, a former part-time history professor at Emory, commented
that "Education is everything. Higher education is the key to economic
growth. It is the best asset a state can have."
